Would any one have a wiring diagram for the cdi ignition on a KLX250B 1980/1981 please.

Hey Neil,
This might be close,

Not downloaded the diagram, but the blurb says 12 volt.
My B1 is 6 volt. I am guessing that they are all the same. I have the diagram here, but no scanner. There was a diagram posted some years ago by GTMPaul in the "KLX250 A shared disease" thread. Have you checked that out ? It will probably be on the early pages.

Thanks for the help guys. I have photo copied a manual and discovered 2 out of 3 CDI boxes were stuffed. This hampered my no spark issue a little. I am chasing a few KLX bits, will mention them here and put it in wanted section as well. I need a kick starter and a Right hand side plastic side plate (number plate may be a better description).

Most of the ignition from a 1980/81 KL250 is the same. Those bits may be easier to find.
Side panels are available new from DC Plastics. There will be a stockist near you somewhere. Front and rear guards are the same as the KDX175. Also available from DC.
Good kick start levers are a little thin on the ground. If you have a standard motor, the aftermarket chrome ones are ok. Just don't give them too much grief. If I use one on my KLX it does 3 kicks before it is too bent to park again.
