Title: Suzuki TM 250 Forks help
Post by: Richo52 on August 02, 2013, 09:45:18 am

Hi Guys excuse my ignorance,I have a set of TM forks that came disassembled.
In trying to put them back together I cant workout what is used to attach the chrome
sliding leg to prevent it coming out of the lower leg.Is there a circlip or comething?
   Thanks in advance.Richard.

As an observation a recent fall at a race meeting was caused by a TM250 lower fork leg parting company with the fork tube. It was found that a circlip failed allowing the forks to part company. Apparently the OEM circlip is not a normal run of the mill job but a thicker and stronger snap ring or special circlip.

Just mentioning it as having the front wheel and lower fork legs part company during a wheelstand was freaking scary to watch and I bet the rider would be more descriptive ::)
