Title: Forksprings , help needed
Post by: YSS on May 20, 2008, 06:04:15 pm
Dear members , I get lots of requests for forksprings . But the info between 70  and 1980 is very limited and varies so much. I have to make 50 sets per size minimum to sell at a reasonable cost . So therefore I will try to make universal springs to fit different brands  and models.
I will go through brand by brand and make a data bank  , today  who can help with TM 125 , 250, 400  73-74 . Or alternatively is there already something out there that lists all the old models . Perhaps an old aftermarket katalouge?  Or is somebody already making springs for pre 80 bikes? Any info is appreciated .
If you change a forkseal  or happen to work on your fork , please take a couple of measurements  ( Freelenght and OD and spacerlenght if there is one ) thank you . Walter

I just checked my NOS TM100/125 fork springs they were 530mm in free length and 20mm in OD, there is a spacer but i don't know the lenght as I have yet to dismantle my forks for a rebuild.
