Would that alloy arm be legal for pre 78?
-
I just had another look at the pics, the swingarm on the ground is different to the one fitted to the bike, the one on the ground looks new & has a shock res bracket, the one on the bike has no bracket & looks used, which one do you get ???,hmmm a bit misleading :-\

Did ya see his other stuff 8) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-factory-works-parts-RA-125-250-400-KYB-RH-RH-RM-RN-370-HRC-79-80-81-/221251893624?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3383a3f978&_uhb=1
I looked at those swingarms again, the one on the bike is an IT one, As it has the pins for snail cams & open ends for Quick wheel removal, the one on the ground is a YZ one,no pins & closed ends ;)

Spoke to the seller a few weeks ago, you are getting the swing are seen fitted to the bike which is indeed an IT DG swing arm!! Also I'm pretty sure this same bike fitted with same gear was sold to its current owner six months or so ago by a forum member....

I would like the head !

I've got that exact swingarm in my shed .. an IT one with the open end ... except mine is gold anodised.
I'm too scared to run it in pre 78 as I'm not sure it's legal so just better to leave it off.

You Yamaha boys need to take a leaf out of the Suzuki lads book and run period correct legal alloy arms on your Pre 78 125's ;D

Let it go Ted, it's doing your head in ::). At the risk of starting this drama up again, I'm curious to know if anybody has made an official submission to the Commission to homologate the alloy RM 125-B swingarm?
