15 wt oil and around 100mm oil height with springs removed.

now that you've removed the springs, chuck em in the bin as well as the forks and get a set of 34mm forks and triples from either the MX/DT 250/360 and live happily ever after ;)

no offense intended but the stock forks we never any good even for the novice.
cheers
Vandy

Thanks vandy. At least it will me it gives me some where to start. My mx has been a ground up resto so am restoring to original condition at moment. Will look at mods you recommend in the future. Thanks mate.

Vandy's right - for a racer, you've gotta go to the 34mm forks from a 250/360.

But if its a garage queen or a nice pit bike, then original is the only option.

Rode the brothers mx at murphys creek vinduro on the weekend. Vandy is right the only place for standard mx 125a forks are in a wheely bin. If any only has a set of dt 250 forks and triples for sale let me know. Cheers
