Title: Clutch cover cr 250re
Post by: Paul552 on June 03, 2013, 06:28:56 pm
I am going to make some billet clutch covers for a cr250re.

Can any one loan me one to model up?

I don't want to pull mine apart unless I have too.

If any one has one It would be great to borrow one for a week or two.

Thinking of running a batch of 10 and test the market.

If you can loan me one please pm me

I'm all booked and can't wait.

No bling parts just a functional replacement to the Devcon  on the Honda

Can't wait till the gate drops.

Thanks for the welcome Scotty I appreciate it.

Model them up with a faro arm
then machine from solid 6061 on a HMC
Then get them anodized

Keep us updated on you progress and costing.

i would be interested in other models if there is a market for you. its a numbers game  to make it worthwhile.

Sure you really need to make 10+ to make it affordable.

This has always been the problem , theres any number of outfits that can machine covers but getting a big enough order to make it viable is the problem  ::)

Problem is - sometimes you dont know the market until you actually HAVE the item up for sale.

Selling a house for example. Anything prior to it is speculation.

I would think you'd be on a winner mate. I built an 85 CR250 and would have snapped one up in a heartbeat.

Good luck with it.  :)
