Compared to badges commonly offered, this tank badge is different in that the centre is black rather than red. Is this correct for the VB?

The red has turned to black over time.  I have only seen this style
of tank badge with a yellow or gold metalic background.

Thanks Jared. I wonder what happened there; different from factory or changed during its checkered life.
