Title: Calling all Monty Experts - Question 1
Post by: mx250 on May 12, 2008, 09:48:33 pm
This fuel cap is obviously not correct for the tank. The obvious is that there is an additional breather and the second clue is that it is about 2mm too small.

Does anyone know what it would be off? Cota maybe?

it looks like the breather in cap should not be there
(looks like a 44 calibre hollow point) ;D

I was thinking the same thing except it looks like a purpose made breather.

Stock cap drilled with a new vent in place.  What was wrong with the one in the tank!

Must be on the main a lot.
....not with the fuel taps that came with it. Maybe the owner was having fuel stravation and thought it was 'vapour lock' rather than 'flow rate'.
