Title: Replacement fork seals?
Post by: Husabergpete on May 20, 2013, 06:54:34 pm
Forum gents,

Has anyone got a supplier of fork seals that last longer than a race?

Need ones that fit an 83 XC 250.

Thanks Pete and Carl

Hey Mark

You know we could have got that bike for about 3.0k. Everytime i think about it i think f..................................k.

Pete and i were discussing the bike the other day. The bike sat in pete's shed for ages  and then we both went f.............k.

Harro is still around somewhere , last time i heard from harro was about 12 months ago and all was well in Harro land.

Mr Pons did a rebuild on my 84 model forks and the new seals have done 2 days riding - all ok.
(They work very well too and are matched to the rebuilt re springed rears :) )

Rob, you can ride the big auto on the weekend, just need to get inside that kicker mechanism before Saturday.

i just replaced the pawl on my 400. i had the spline wound 1 too many and hung the pawl out in space and when the bike stopped, something gave it a big clout and tore it in half...

Shoey...I considered buying it myself and also cry the big F word when I think about letting it go. Good luck at Canowindra on the weekend. I'd be there bar the family reunion and mums hospital dramas getting in the way :'(.

Thanks one and all for the input.

I just received some seals from good old Les. Came to the rescue.

brand looks like XNBR Technology- Two per plastic box.

Part Number 33-129-31

See how we go with them.
