Hi Popeye, shouldnt we go with the MOMs? Pre 90 solos, Pre85 sidecrs. as I understand it Pre90 sidecars are in next year.
-
Sorry Col, spend a zillion dollars on a licence and you don't even get a rule book, bit rude.......
-
Ya Internet works go to there web site :D

This will be my !st post so forgive me if I say something wrong. Riders with licences from other countries can compete if the sup-regs allow for it. The rider must have a clearance and proof of insurance also. If a rider already has a licence from another country they can't just take out an MA licence (full year or one meeting) without surrendering the licence they have.
-
Sup regs are now on the club website.

Hey Foxy, do the math. Added 6 new classes, dropped 19.
-
Yes Col I don't get it either.. They're not running the Evo age group races but pre 75 have them?!
-
Hi Col,
Sorry for delay needed to do my research first.
Math is favorite of mine and have just checked last years sup regs for the titles and only races down are 3 support classes(not for points).
What classes are you chasing. You are very welcome to call me anytime to discuss issues you would like the club to look into resolving.
Regards Lisa
-
Thanks Lisa, Ill send you a more detailed letter but as this is of general interest I'll give the gist of it here.
Pre85 and Pre90 each in three capacities means 6 classes added.
Deletion of Pre60, Pre65 250 and 263+, and making Pre70 All Powers means in Classic 4 Classes deleted.
No Evolution age groups means another 15 classes deleted
Total 6 added
19 deleted
If it is a numbers game as in affecting the entry:-
Substituite any Evo age group above 30, for Pre75 16-29 and youll get a substantial net increase in entries.
Substitute Pre 65 AP for either Ladies or 16-29 Pre75 and there'd be a net increase.
If it is a time/entry issue why try to run Classic and Post Classic in the one event (some classes as protected or created by the split have been sacrificed by this)
This is not a complaint against the current BMCC Committee, or a shot at our youngest riders, and most of us will support the event.
The split was brought in to avoid exactly this situation. We are fortunate in this state that we have the numbers and the good clubs to make this situation unnecessary.
-
I have been awaiting confirmation regarding the age groups for EVO
EVO gets age group classes in Aus Titles since the split into 2 different meetings.
This does not apply to Qld Titles.
As for other classes you would like the club to look into - as previously mentioned these weren't dropped classes from 2012 Queensland Titles.
I am very happy for this topic ( and/or your letter you are sending) to be put forward as discussion at our next general meeting for you.
-
It applies to Qld Titles if we want it to, that is if we put it in Sup Regs. Too late for these titles, so we'll makes the most of it and address this issue for the next time.
-

CLASSES OF COMPETITION: ALL COMBINED CLASSES WILL BE SCORED SEPARATELY
Pre 75 125cc 16-29 yrs
Pre 75 125cc 30-39 yrs
Pre 75 125cc 40 –49 yrs
Pre 75 125cc 50-59 yrs
Pre 75 125cc 60+ yrs
Pre 75 132-250cc 16-29 yrs
I hope I do open up another can of worms, but as the 125 class just says 125cc and the 250 class is 132 to 250 that could be interpreted that the 125 classes are up to 125cc. So someone could race an 80cc bike.
After reflecting on this post you couldn't race an 80cc in the 125 class because it doesn't say up to 125cc. So taking the 2% tolerance into consideration the lower limit would be 122.5cc and upper 126.5cc.

See ya there or here... LOL

Hi guys, we ended up having about 10-15mm of rain yesterday and last night, rain suposedly clearing by Thursday so should all be good, here's hoping the weather is kind to us...

Hey Popeye, do you need that muffler for the weekend?
-
No mine turned up on Friday, thanks anyway, but I will show that other FMF Pipe this weekend and see what you recone? The baffler in the Arrow muffler has completely disappeared, GOOOONNNNNNEEEEEE.
-
I get perforated stainless sheet rolled & make new cores for them...I will fix your pipe in exchange for the muffler?
-
I can get hold of perf tube in most sizes in both mild and stainless, might even have some in stock.
-
Sounds good Whitey, we had some more rain last night, don't no how much till I talk to Greg, but it was quite heavy at times, I'd say somewhere between 10-20 mm, the road into the track now is all Deco so the weather should not affect access to the camping and pit areas, pretty much all the mowing has been done, camp area is marked out and track has been watered LOL, don't forget for those wanting to camp there are now both toilets and showers on site permanently , and a bloody big camp fire for Saturday night....
-
I wish I could make it! I have other commitments :( ...
Tommy Hannan will grab the bits off you, if that's o.k?
I hope the meeting is a cracker!
-
Having dinner last night and it pissed down for 15-20mins. (we're about 10 ks from Peak Xing as the crow flies)
On the map this morning there is a cyclone looking formation in the bight that is suppoesed to bring storms to Qld before the weekend. :o :o
Let's hope not as I need to have a ride soon or will have forgotten how.
-
That's a shame Whitey, your going to miss the event, it will be a cracker....
Yep I'll catch up with Tom no worries....
-
We've had about 45mm rain so far, don't need any more thanks big guy, about 75 entries from what I'm told, thought we would have got more, anyway will be fun.......
-
Ive got my fingers crossed for you guys. Hope it is a massive success!
-
Hello there, the meeting is all go, we will have to do a lot of work tomorrow and maybe revert back to an old section of track, but it will work out AOK, anybody coming from far away if camping tomorrow arrive early by all means we could do with a hand tomorrow any help would be greatly appreciated........
-
So they don't need to bring there life jackets anymore Popeye?.....how deep was the water in the bomb holes?.....hope you all have a great weekend.
-
No life jackets required, the dip nearest the start line was 8ft deep, the other one was ok as it drains into the dam, how's all the repair work going mate all good l hope?
-
The repair works coming along slowly but surely.....have fun.
-
just packin the trailer now.
off to work first,
then arrive about midnight...
see ya's there...
-

-
Another top VMX riding weekend around Oz...Young Daniel H taking home
3rd 125cc, 2nd 250cc, 2nd 370cc(http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r259/vmx247/qldsstatetitleJune2013_zpsdc41804b.jpg) (http://s146.photobucket.com/user/vmx247/media/qldsstatetitleJune2013_zpsdc41804b.jpg.html)

Some Results: Donny Newell did well, had an off the old fella but is all ok thank god, hope I'm still riding at 82 Steve New, Wayne Skyring, Brad Vanberello, Matt Dank, Daniel Hutchinson, Jack Mchmann, John Kemp, Jamie and Wayne (sidecar) Graham Siemonedese, David Muirhead, Greg Michell, Peter Robson (Pre 85-250), Popeye (Pre 90-125) and I got 3rd on the Chairs, Allan Wykes (Pre90-250), Renae McDonald (Ladies Pre78), Brad won the (Pre 90-500), we had to change the track after 2 rounds of practise as some guys had trouble with the bomb holes and the mud, so that took a couple of hours but it all turned out very good, first round of racing was still a little wet in places but was great, dried out quite a bit in the afternoon, track was a little dry and slippery on the hard pack the next day but good in the wet sections so all was good, if the rain had off happened a day or two earlier we would have been able to use our normal track, but thats the weather for you, I thought we would have had more entries than we got, from what I'm told a lot of people had trouble entering because they only had club licenses not senior national so they could not enter, and you've got to give it up to people that put in the effort to ride multiple bike, I think Brad rode 5-6, Daniel Hutchinson 7-8 and a chair, Steve New 3, Jack Mcmahn 5-6, I rode just the 125 and the sidecar and no how much that takes so my hat goes off to these guys great effort, Renae McDonald rode 3 races back to back, well done guys......
Bring on Conodale and Echo Valley...
-
Cheers Popeye...Im really keen to get to Connondale & Echo valley... I even thought about doing a bit more training up till then...I will run to the fridge to get a beer from now on ;D
I know stumpy had dramas with a shock that was too stiff (we rebuilt it Friday night before the event). I guess hes used to having 20 year old oil in the shock...I better stop spoiling him ;)
Well done to everyone who competed out there & thankfully there appears that there was no serious injuries.
