it may be the angle of the pic...but...gee..the steering head looks to be wwwaaaayyy out in front....may be good at the drags... going around corners.. ????

That bike neeeeds a pair of aluminium fenders!
Othervice great ;D
-
and all this time I thought fenders were on boats !! ::)
-
i thought they were guitars ???

I think it's the angle of the dangle in the photo Brian, the bike's got CZ forks and what looks like Betor triple clamps and my Cheney Yammy has Arces clamps and Ceriani forks but the CZ/Betor/Arces triples have the same offset except for the different bar clamp location. The frame's all but the same bar the front downtube issue.

I agree Martin. I've got an AJS Stormer rear mudguard and a Yamaha GYT DT1 front both alloy and I don't mind saying they look much better. My tank was originally anodized red like the Husky but it's had some welding repairs which might show up blotchy if I had it re anodized. I prefer my American aftermarket seat than the Cheney original on the Husky too.
I suspect that bike in the photos below may be the same bike prior to restoration. It sure looks to have the same bibs and bobs.

mmmm nice!

Speaking of Cheneys Ben, how's yours coming along?? :)
-
slower than slow.....
Even the urgent, got to get it done quickly stuff seems to take too long!
All the usual things getting the way, but having lots of fun else where.

You and me both Ben. Thanks for the leg up on the Cheney forks...they looked CZish to me but once I googled I soon found you're correct as usual. I'd rather my Ceriani's though.
-
I think those forks may be Husky forks that have been in a lathe...ala.. works forks from 1972 ish... all the bottom clamping . split in the bottom , oil drain , brake lug....etc look very HVA....
-
Thats what I reckon too Watto
-
Would make it easier to fit the HVA front wheel... ;)
-
Yep you're right Watto and JC, Husky forks made to look CZish. Here's the Cheney forks and triple clamps for comparison. The red bike would appear to have Cheney triple clamps and machined Husky forks. The more I look it appears that the before and after photos are of the same bike.
