My old friend Vern Grayson is making efforts to return to racing and he's asked me to help him find a Hagon Jawa or similar dirt tracker. I know these things are at a premium and hard to find but if anyone has one please let me know and I'll line you up with Vern. Vern's also resurrecting his controversial Cheney Triumph and is considering riding at this years Classic Motocross Nats. This is all good news after the depression of losing his beloved Averil last year.

Howdy firko, im willing to sell him one of my Hagon JAwa's as you say certainly not giving it away but would for a fair price and only if he is going to actually ride it and not collect dust or onsell it in the short term, i would. pass on my details if you like.

Vern would be too bloody quick on a 500 jawa! I was thinking perhaps he could put in a 350 jap . But then I thought what a better challenge than a Maico blizzard hagon. Nah would still only keep up with the bugger in the pits.
Would love to see the boy back, if I can help with anything (transport etc) give me a bell.

It's been a very hard journey for the old bugger since his Averil passed away and while he'll never really get over her loss, there's been a real improvement in his attitude over the last few weeks. I speak to him every week or two and step by step he's been starting to show his old spark and when he told me he'd dragged the old Cheney out of the shed for the Nats I knew he was back. We need to talk him into getting back on his BSA A65 750 flat tracker as well.

He's just had an op to repair the damage so that might also have helped spark his enthusiasm to race again.
