What a great track but I have to echo Billet YZs comments regarding the trees close proximity to the track.....one stuff up and you're eating bark.

Probably why he's fitted a set of bark busters....

About 20% of the course has no trees.

About 20% of the course has trees that are fairly close

The remaining 60% of the track runs though the trees ,but it would be almost impossible to hit one and if you did perhaps you should not have been on the course in the first place

The track is very fast and flows really well so you dont get a chance to notice the trees. The track is very loomy and 80% of the track is in the shade of the trees.

Excluding the start finish area's the track holds its moisture really well and dust is not a real issue.

Wednesday , Thursday spent hanging out with Don and the guys prepping bikes , eating , prepping bikes , eating , testing bikes , eating and having refreshments.

The girls went into town and generally just hung around with all the other girls and had lot's of fun.

We gave it reasonable go after we completed the cross country event on Friday.

Imagine this.

The main check point on the cross course where your transponder was logged each lap was in the middle of one of Don's shed's.

So you came in the end of the shed , stopped at the check point , you were then given the Ok to proceed though the shed and exited stage left.

Up on a screen as you left the shed was your elasped time and place in the cross country event

In the shed during the event was a BIG party going on , equiped with a full bar , petrol powered margarita machine ,snacks the works.

There were lounges for the guests and the party crowd  contained about 10 Australians and number ex world and national MX champs.

This crew really know how to maximise  an event.

So each lap of the cross country you would come though the shed to the cheers of the crowd which was rather cool and then disappera again into to the woods.

So after finishing the cross country , you could just swagger on into the bar and order a margareta , made and served up to by a ex national MX champ.

So after the second round of the cross country later in the afternoon , the party continued on in the shed for a couple of hours after which time it moved down to the main covered area in the park for the cross country trophy presentatations , fabulous meal , live music , dancing and few more refreshments. In bed by 10.30 pm ready for the next day. Fabulous day complete.
On Saturday you get up early for tech. inspection and get to race MX in as many classes as you can or your bike qualifies for. Presentation late afternoon , Fabulous meal , live music , dancing and few refreshments.

Repeat Sunday , except i did not compete in the post vintage racing and spent the day observing the racing ,taking photos , buying bike bits and pieces and generally just hanging out .Presentation late afternoon , Fabulous meal , live music , dancing and few refreshments.

"Did i mention that they supply petrol powered golf carts for you to get around"

Now's thats living the dream
