I must of missed it in one of  the many "Mythical optional B alloy arm threads" but could anyone explain why all the  genuine suzuki parts catalogues are deemed as not enough evidence by themselves - maybe aliens counterfitted them ALL  ::)

Ho hum , this has been posted before after the " Conondale incident". The argument is only on going because some fools refuse to accept the reality.

Seeing as all the experts deem the mythical suzuki alloy arm doesn't exist I have decided to put a Flying Mutha Fuka sticker Manufactured in Post Office CHINA circa 2012 on it to guarantee eligibility

Can only assume that some precedent has been set whereby parts in the books didn’t exist.
I don’t believe that is the case here but surely someone can come up with a photo of one being used in the day.

Paint the alloy arm black Ted, that's how they came from the factory. Also makes it difficult to identify in old pics whether it's alloy or steel unless its a good clear close up..

Granted Mick but according to my Sept 76 Suzuki parts book they also advertised their own arm just as FMF did. Apparently it is fine to fit a FMF to a B even if their arm was made yesterday. Not so with a genuine Suzuki arm made in 76 and 77 only , we'll within the Pre 78 criteria. I wonder if anybody bought a FMF , DG or Thor arm before 31/12/1977 and could they produce the original dated sales docket ?

That won't prove anything Ted, they are already legal and there is plenty of '77 magazine articles proving it.. But none on the Suzuki option arm

the B alloy arm is legal pre 78
its that nice clean new one that isnt, but that will have to wait until it wins something and someone puts up the 70 dollars.

I thought the bitching was about C arms being (slightly) modified to be just like the optional B arm?
Because parts made in 1978 are the work of the devil, but parts made in 2013 are as trick as...
