The other one I like is " far too many other projects so this has to go " yeh this means I have no idea how to fix this so I'll sell it to some other sucker . ;D

That is it because they watch ebay and see one sell for half decent money and then think hmm better chuck mine on or a mate sees it and says old bike that will be worth heaps put it on ebay.

Hang on, I've got a shed full of "I was going to restore it" and "I've got too many projects" bikes.  Some of us are just care takers whose plans and ideas aren't in tune with the reality and time structures of our lives.

My love of a "project" often overcomes the reality of just how much time we can alocate to our hobby. I've got 6 or 7 serious projects lined up but even though I'm retired I find that I'm still finding it hard to get decent shed time. These projects are full blown total resto's not superficial 'touch ups' too but after last years health shitfight I now intend to live a long an fruitful life and finish, race and enjoy each and every one of those 7 bikes and sell off the bikes I'm not using or have no interest in.

I was only talking about the bikes.  Haven't even gotten to the cars.  And then there's the never ending circle of renovations.  By the time you get the house finished, it's time to start at the beginning again because you can 'now do it better' or the wife says 'the decor is dated' or the kids and pets have destroyed it.

I thought they would of had that cloning sorted by now, because I need three more of me.  Well...maybe four.  I could do with an extra one to take all the blame.
