Title: Yamaha YZ250/360 A sprocket cover/clutch actuator.
Post by: firko on April 10, 2013, 02:20:09 pm
Here's shots of the new YZ/DT1 clutch actuators from Davey Crocket Industries'. John kindly sent me down his prototype to try on my flat tracker at HBBB but unfortunately I never got there. I'm sending it back to John so he can use it this weekend on his own YZ so I thought I'd run off a couple of rough photos of it mounted on my little unfinished Fastrac framed RT1 360. The workmanship is beyond brilliant and the clutch pull feels like a modern bike. I'll leave the technical details to John in case I get something wrong. I can't wait until I get my own cover over the next week or two.

That DT2MX type mag cover you have on that Mark is a few mm shorter in height than the YZA/DT type, it lines up perfect on the normal one, its ironic a mate just dropped new USA import YZ250A off to me today to fit a new GMC "Stealth" muffler too  and it has the DT2MX cover on it.....it will also get a new DC Industries clutch actuator cover assembly....and I gues I'd better get one off to you and Big Ross. ;D

Yeah John, I've got a proper DT1/YZ ignition cover ready to go on by the time my actuator is ready.

yeah DC - I am actually a bit pissed that Firko got to be the test pilot - geez - talk about favouritism.  Gunna go and sulk now -  ;D

Actualy - let me check with a mate - might be able to take 2 off your hands.  Have an idea on cost yet?

cheers

Seen it on the bike in queensland the other day, loks neat.  would still like to figure out a tab down on the top mount so we can incorporate a chain/ case saver.

I'm replying to emails that I've received, you can have one if you send me some money, the whole set up is $440 plus post which is about $12 Australia wide, you get all the bits, even the mounting bolts, just use your adjusting screw, works as good as it looks, I've sold quite a few so far and am getting more done. If you want one then send me a pm with your address, cheers John.
