Finally we finished the replacement shock for the Maico 84 . Alot of people used to brake the original 14 mm shafts , so we made it with a high tensile 16 mm shaft . Instead of the original hose and reservoir set up , we opted for a compact piggyback set up. The rebound adjuster has 60 clicks , lowspeed comp has 20 clicks and high speed has 20 clicks of adjustment . That should give a huge window for any rider.
Those shocks will be available from Mainly Maico exclusive.

Walter do you have a price for the unit. I had the shock in my 84 Maico rebuild several years ago by Sigra at Penrith and they did a bad job. They cut off the original reservoir hose and fitted a hard plastic hose. 3 months later the shock started leaking. Your shock looks very similar to the piggyback Ohlins I have in my 85 M-Star. Possibly may fit? :)

That shock as per pic would cost $ 1750.00 , but if you have an other brand that we could modify to suit , the cost would be considerable less . I would have to see it to quote.
