Selling my 1977 CR125M Elsinore, just finished restoration, Frame no. CR125M-3103258, engine no. CR125ME-3103260, manufactured 09/76, as far as I can trace history it has never been raced, just had a little use as a paddock basher, gearbox and clutch parts were like new, no flogged out clutch basket or any of the usual stuff, has had all new engine bearings, gaskets and seals, rebored to first oversize, run for about 15 minutes since, respoked wheels, new Bridgestone tyres, wheel bearings and steering bearings replaced, forks rebuilt with rechromed tubes, new shocks, new chain and sprockets, new plastics, frame sand blasted back to metal before painting, etc...The only part missing is the chain/sprocket guard that hangs off the swingarm, (anyone got one of these?) looking for $4500-00. Please contact me for more photos or details. Tony [email protected]

Thanks for the comments guys. I am happy with the way it turned out. I know they were never the best bike in their day but I am keen to sell it to someone who will appreciate it, whether its to race it or just look at it. No idea what it might be worth but I would appreciate any comments or ideas on how to move it on. I have done the VMX thing myself a few years ago, too old for that now!!
Regards, Tony.

Looks nice but for what your asking i think it falls a bit short . Is it the photo or are there several shades of red ???
For somone to pay what your asking i think a collector who wants to show it would want it finished completley and th be correct including shocks and uniformed colour .
For a racer to buy it for that price ( and they are a good pre 78 race bike) i think they would want it race ready, it usually take s few rides after a resto to shake out the bugs and sort jetting gearing etc .
Some better photos of both sides may help you sell it , you have done a nice job but in the current market what your asking is absolute top money .

Bill if you click on the shot it will take you to another couple of photos.
TBow the market is as flat as at present so it would be as Bill said top end of the market, hey but you are entitled to put what you want as a price on it.
One tip is always do all bolts as re-zinc, adds dollars to the bike and gives it a great finish.
I love the look of these little Honda's such a gun looking bike.
Good luck with the sale and thanks for posting it up.

Beautiful bike, fantastic resto job mate. Unfortunately the market tells us that at the moment it's probably a 3K bike tops. Id say unless you'd be happy with that for it, keep it! ;D You'll never regret keeping a bike that's for sure ;)

Thanks for the comments. You guys certainly dont miss anything, yes there is a bit of colour difference, the paint colour was a big disappointment, and the fork gaiters are non-genuine, so there is some colour variation. I considered pulling it all to bits again and having another go at the the paint on the tank and frame, and also considered getting all the bolts re-plated, but it dont think all that extra expense and work would get me any more for the bike. I am not in a position to keep it, so in view of the comments I would look at any offer around the $3500 mark?? Thanks again for your comments, Tony

125's Eh, cost the same to doo up as a 250, but not as popular when selling. I am currently doing a 125Rz, its a passion as i have always liked rz's.
Its absolutely amazing, there is someone out there who will pay above $2k for an absolute bucket of crap and chase thier tail trying to make it like this 77 model pictured above.
