I've been watching them.. one has a 250 motor fitted. Very cool bikes, i have a 360B rolling chassis, just need a motor!

Cheap, good buy. A YZA 250 original was sold in the states for $3800, that was a bargin.
-
JO - you should fit an SC 500 motor in it?

But they have different crank cases and wouldn't bolt straight in , RT2 MX is the same as YZ360 i believe.

sc500 [should!!] bolt into say an mx250b/yz250c variation of frame as the sc was the first of the next style motor, dt250a/360a etc shape--bit longer motor & different mounts of course. Cursing the day i scrapped a rolling mx250 b frame years back cos i couldn't see 20 +years into the future bugger it.

Why waist a yzb engine for a shitty old heavy sc500 engine. Go figure ???

No one's wasting a YZB engine Dave, i've got a YZ360b without an engine that a mate found at the dump a few years ago complete with seat, tank etc.
-
Thank God for that, please don`t graft a sc 500 into it Johnnyo
-
No i'll wait for a 250 or 360 engine..
-
Isn't there a YZB on the west coast running a SC500 motor, seem to recall it was also a rolling chassis looking for a motor & came out as quite a good bike
-
Tony - there are 2 of them in Perth - both well done conversions, reliable and fast!
