Title: First Build YZ125H
Post by: rodc on March 27, 2013, 09:56:41 pm
Here is a picture of where I am up to on my very "slow" YZ 125 H build. Thanks to all the people that have helped with parts. Goes better than it looks.

Now to make it look pretty.

And the other side.

Anybody have template images for creating decals?

Rod, SpeednSport is your best bet for repro decals. Seem to have almost anything pre85 yam covered. Search web for SpeednSport or on eBay type "seller:yamatopdog" in the search bar.

I have one and it's a very fast little bike. You can buy piston kits for around 60 bucks and there's always new cylinders on eBay for around 200.

I have .46 springs in the front, a heavier Yamaha spring on the rear with Gold Valve that I have got valved right for my weight

The engine really is good enough on It's own.
Don't even waste your money on Boyesons as all they do is make the things sign off way to early. :)

yeah these were really good back in the day and would have been the best 125 except the RM125X arrived and rewrote the rules. Nice bike.

Don't even waste your time with any tank decals that aren't perforated, they'll bubble and fall off after the first day. If MXM in the UK don't have them get a local MX sticker company to make them, it's easy done.
