Heads will roll, who ever wrote that S.O.P. obviously didn't consult the W.M.S or M.S.D.S. I don't know why you work there ;)

Sorry to hear that tim, just for my own future experience- did you turn over the engine first by hand with no plug fitted?

Yes in this case you could turn over Brett, the clearance is very tight and I usually have the rockers backed well off just in case. Naturally I had to re-adjust them early....then lay the heavy boot on the kickstart. Of course you can get pistons that will be way to high and lock up the engine even on plugless hand crank. If in doubt do leave the rockers loose and hand crank .That is best practice for sure. PS With these small four modified four strokes, the rocker/valve clearance will have to be increased from standard ;)

Disregard . Found fabricated (not be me) brass bushing for camshaft had collapsed ,locking cam and sending piston into stuck open valve. Ahh such is life .....but it's still rooted ::) Cheers.
Having a terrible time getting the 754 ready for HBBB , the electric starter button not working, damn have to give a couple of jabs on the kickstart to start , Top job on list fix or replace said switch button. ;)
