I want to paint a frame but I'll be using spray cans.
With preparation being equal are there any suggestions on which brand of paint to use
Cheers

Ones with gas in um Brent, what a piss off when they spit ,sputter and quit half way into the job.
As with a lot of items' quality branded paint names can work out the best value, and not leave you frazzled.

POWERPLUS auto paint is very good quality and well applicating rattle can pain. Available at all super cheap auto stores. Don't be fooled by the name of the stockist though, it's far from cheap!!but ya do only get what ya pay for ;)

I'll second that. Good gloss and the nozzle seems to give a decent enough pattern

I've been using rattle cans since the sixties and have yet to come across a spray can paint as hard wearing and easy to apply and with such a nice range of silvers and metallics for frame painting. In fact I've just painted my flat tracker candy apple red and wasn't at all happy with the 'House of Kolor' base silver so I used Rusoleum metallic Titanium instead and it turned out a treat. It used to be available at Bunnings but they dropped it for another brand (which I found to be inferior). www.rustoleum.com.au/ (http://www.rustoleum.com.au/) has a "Find a Retailer" window (I typed in Darwin but nothing came up)or you could give them a call PH: 1300 784 476 PH: 02 9684 6060.

Rust-oleum bugger me I thought they had long gone. Good, no great gear! Thanks Firko for the info.

Some car paint shops now put 2 pack paint in spray cans.
There is a seal you break to mix the 2 parts together prior to use.
They can even put your old leftover car 2 pack paint into cans for you!!!
There is one at Brendale in Brisbane that does it, a painter mate told me about it, he got leftover black and white paint put into cans!!!
I have seen the result in person, and is fantastic.
Cheers

Did it come out in black and white stripes, or did it just turn grey?
