That's a pretty good deal, the TS400 is arguably a better easier bike to race than a TM400 because of its softer power delivery yet still being plenty fast. His other bike for sale, a '75 model centre port/twin down tube TS400 looks to be a good thing as well. I don't know if this model is any better than the earlier single downtube/side exhaust port but according to the current rulebook they're legal for pre 75.

Beware. These have a habit of breaking the crankcase above the counter shaft sprocket typically the engine number is broken off and sometimes a lot worse. The sprocket cover looks to be covering up possible damage on this one.

Beware the sprocket cover??  :o what about the bloody bike itself! they are shocking to ride. i still have nightmares bout the stall and high side on one of those things years ago.. you only had to think about reducing the throttle 1 % and yep stall and high side.. amazingly bad.. awesome power when the wick is twisted....

My question too, they're very different bikes behaviour wise. Both scary but the TS much less so.

As a 16 yo, the ts 400 was more than scary enough
