Title: Yamaha IT490 gearbox parts

I am looking for Yamaha IT490 Gearbox parts. In particular part number 4V6-17141-01-00 GEAR,4TH PINION, new or in good secondhand condition. This 4th gear is located on the layshaft...Also the internal Clutch push rod.

I also need the the clutch internal Push rod. part number 3R5-16357-01-00 ROD,PUSH 2
New or good second and condition.

Common blow up in the 465/490's is 3rd gear. NLA anywhere world wide via Yamaha. Both the YZ's and the IT's have that one gear in the cluster in common
Second hand will be very hard to find also. I know of a bloke who end up fitting a 250 motor until he found the parts in USA only to blow 3rd gear again 6 months.

I think the gears for IT465/490 gears may look similar to those on a XS650, although they don't share the same part numbers.

I searched on eBay for many days.
But by chance I ended up contacting a guy on eBay, who was advertising the sale of other IT490 parts on eBay. I sent the guy a message and asked if he had any gearbox parts... The end result was that he had a whole complete set of gears in excellent condition, including selector drum, selector forks and shafts.
I did a deal and bought a complete set of very low mileage gearbox internals from him!

It pays to keep searching and contact sellers that are selling other IT parts.

The IT 425 seems to be more aligned with the 79 YZ & IT 400's
