I'm after a magneto side engine cover, not the inspection plate, for a 75 rl250. I think the ts250 of the same era will work

Anyone?

Paul,
Part No 11351-38000
RL 250 L/M
TS250 R-M (1971-75)
There would have to be lots of TS engines out there?

You'd think so wouldn't you?
Thanks for the info

One on Ebay US atm, but needs repair.
Also Maleny swap is on this Sunday.

I'll have a look if I have a useable cover Paul but from memory I only have one that isn't broken and it's on my RL.
While there are many TS250's out there it is 'very common' to have this cover crack or break the lower mounting point when the chain comes adrift and wraps up on the front sprocket. Unfortunately when the lower mount is broken it allows the cover to flex outwards as the clutch worm pushes the rod making the clutch inoperable. Early TM250 are the same cover also albeit black not silver. Another fix is to use a later TM250 or '76 TS250 setup which has a pinion type clutch release on the clutch cover. Obviously you'd need the matching pressure plate as well but it is an option.

Ok, thanks Chris, there's 3 on ebay at the moment and they're all broken. That explains why ;)

Just had a sniff around and don't have any sorry. Also just looked on fleabay US. 1 is a '69/70 cover and the item linked below is not TS250 but TS185 so it's useless also.

Will phone a friend tomorrow who may have one ;)

That's the setup my rl had, explains why

Bruce Bolton has an RL, dont know if its worth calling Boltons motorcycles and seeing if he has any spares?
