What's the best product for cleaning nickel plated frames? I've got one that isn't too bad just needs elbow grease and a good cleaning agent. Has anyone found something that does the job properly?
Also, I figured an attachment for the drill might speed the process, any ideas? :)

Monte here's the link to my resto on a pretty tarnished Hindall frame. Sadly the photos were hosted by Village Photos and they went off into the ether when Village went belly up. They're probably on the hard drive of one of my old computers but it's virus rooted so I'm hesitant to hook it up again. You might get some tips from the text. It wouldn't be that old Rickman Monty I sold you would it?

Your frame was the earlier Montesa type, the plating on that one isn't quite as good as the later one that I bought as a complete bike from sunny California.
I'm going to have a go at the best one I've got first to see how successful it turns out. I've got some buffing soaps and I will get an attachment for the drill. Pity all the photos from your post are gone it would have been good to see what you started with.

I started with a very ordinary frame with rusty bits in the corners and an overall green tinge. It was a lot of hard work but it turned out really well. I've just been working on that bike to get it up for the Bonanza and noticed that it could do with another going over but it's been 2 or 3 years so that's not bad.
