What models interchange?
A will interchange with B and C but retains the element by bolt instead of a pin.
N and T pretty sure are the same I had the N me mate the T and pretty much all intrchanged
X and Z hang on >:( go to alphasports and cross referance the part numbers and see what else ya want while you are there ;D

Pretty sure D,E&F are the same, G was first if the newer style airboxes that the filter went in from the top.
-
X,Z and D are the same. E is a new frame with single side airbox same as F.

I actually answered the question in reply #2 but we'll just drag it on for a few more days ;)

N will interchange with the T, but only as a complete unit with intake boot, cage and filter. this applies to the 250 and 400, not sure about the 125s.

On the subject of Airboxes, need to get hold hold RM500E box, side panel are up the sh*t, wondering if the RM125X airbox side panel would fit??
-
Beware of the B, C & C2 models in combination with the RM/PE variants of such.
Whilst the airbox's can interchange, the filter cage and supporting mechanism's are different heights and you cant interchange these pieces.

I'm currently rebuilding a RM125S (1975) that has a rusted out steel airbox. Does anyone have a filter cage to suit they don't need, or alternatively, any suggestion on another cage from a later model Suzuki that could be adaptable with some fitting?
My line of thinking at the moment is to use a PE175T cage and adapt it in the airbox with a few necessary modifications.

Pete does your airbox have the fluted vents in it ?
-
No, no vents. Why do you ask?

No, no vents. Why do you ask?
Because i want one with vents (early) i would swap a shitty one for a good one :)
I may have a spare good S box i will check

Bill
The boxes with vents, are they from the M model or did only the early S's come out with them?
I had this discussion with someone else the other day and we couldn't work out which model the vented boxes were fitted. We thought the vented boxes were from the M's then we thought the S's had them, but my S and his S does not have the vents so that counts that out.
Then I thought the vented boxes may have been fitted to the RM100A because they run a lot of the M parts??
Please clarify if you can.
Pete
