Im with ya on looking forward to more positive things but i really would like to know what motivates someone to advertise a bike with what they would surely know is a faaaaaaar from an achievable price. To be honest at the moment id be surprised if he could find anyone to pay half of what he's asking and if the guy is in the scene he would already know that? It always makes me wonder if people do this in the lead up to making bikes "go missing" so as to push any insurance gain the stand to make from it?? Im most certainly not accusing this seller of that, just wondering what the reason could be....

Cheers, Brendan

It's more likely to be that, that is what it owes him. This is the 2nd really expensive bike I have posted on here lately. No offence Allison, just wondering what they are thinking over there??

Gidday this bike was former viper expert championship winning no 1 plate plate & owned by Quentin Cook back approx 6 years ago, it was then sold to a buyer in wa some time ago, for $5500.00, i know this as it was offered to me by Quentin at that time,  it has been for sale some time for this crazy price, good luck mate, i will sell the same bike 1979 rm400n  for $4500.00 if you want one, rebuilt motor, dg pipe/muffler ohlins shocks, excell rims, renthan bars, h/duty spokes +++ thanks Bear

there is always this kind of discussion whenever a 9 grand RM465 or a 13 grand YZ490 comes up

its a bit like they call it fishing and not catching, there is advertising and not selling...... I have seen much nicer bikes come up on the forum for 1/2 the price
