At least he is being a little more honest this time.  Was he MaicoLarry the last two times it was on eBay?

"Up for bids, this RH250 vintage race motorcycle in running condition and prepped for storage.

I don't know the full history of it except that I own it and have ridden it twice for about thirty minutes total.

It needs repair but is a good item to place in the museum or gallery and should be kept under glass for best preservation.

The engine number is RH250 #6 10715 and the frame is stamped on the head pipe as a near matching number.

It's as it came from the factory use as far as I can tell is authentic and genuine, but I added a stock silencer to the exhaust, from an era correct TM-100L production bike for starting and show only. It would need a support bracket for use as configured now.

Personal matters prompt me to sell it now."

He didn't address the tank and forks and last time he seemed to know everything about the bike and all the factory Suzukis for that matter.

 ;D

Looks like a question has been posted by his Mum

Q: I saw Roger Decoster narrowly beat Bob Hannah on this very bike! Price is too low for such a gem!
A: Thank you!

I look forward to the next round of correspondence on ebay, the last kept me amused for hours!

He replied to me....twice.

Dear firko,

Not too many years ago, 5 were the known ones like mine. The particular configuration used in the tooling of my unit was produced for the promotional era races for RM 250 and 370 series pre-release at the particular events where the modifications were being implemented . The value is in the uniqunes of the collectible item. To quote a friend; "You really should have known".

Dear firko,

I just like the unique adaptation of this unit and that it is correct for the time of it's construction by the works for the Suzuki factory riders. I had a, then new, 1974 TM-125L growing up. This RH unit is as some of the japanese factory riders rode, but for the front wheel, which is a production one I assume. The LTR transition was leaped in this configuration with pre-production suspension and steering parts and a similar, but smaller capacity and shape aluminum RM style fuel tank, while retaining (till the last) low RH expansion chamber exhaust pipe (original stinger used without silencer). Uniqueness and quality are factors to include with sentiment based on knowledge to arrive at something of monetary value for these machines. Thanks for your offer, friend but the first listing here drew 25,1000 USD and did not reach minimum. That listing was with a reserve and this one starts less than that reserve amount. Take care and ride safe.

Price is dropping rapidly...  Maybe he's finally getting the idea that not all people in the Vintage scene are suckers?

Something about this seems weird, yeah I know the whole thing sounds weird but the text seems to be translated Nigerian or something.
The fact that no one is allowed to see the bike makes me wonder if it is in the USA at the moment or if it actually exists at all.
He wants stupid money up front before inspection??
I think this is more than just a dickhead, I smell a scam.

In that case then he will just keep plugging away till someone sends money at the right price.
He's learning as he goes, suckin off our sport.  >:(
At least our VMX community is relatively small world wide, cause its all over other forums.  ;D

Yep me too......A few years ago there was a bloke selling a Husky shitbox and making outrageous claims about the bikes history. It went on for months and eventually eBay sut him down. I don't recall the details any more but do remember he had the same stilted grasp on the English language. I wonder if he's back? ::)

Would be difficult for a scammer to get a ebay rating of 540(100%)

Another funny message has appeared at the bottom of the page again.
(Saw Roger Decoster narrowly beat Bob Hannah on one of these).

It sucks when some retard finds a gem. This guy is far to smart for the likes of us.
Hopefully someone can prize it from his grip or he dies and his estate is sold.

Just left a message for him on evilbay:
My lord allthough its a bit rough around the edges, you really have something there. If i win this unit could you pack it in a crate for shipping in australia. As my cousin can grab it from you but he is a bit fing hopeless with carpentry and would struggle. How much extra on top for doing this. Please use special vaseline as i am not a rich person. But just one who is willing to forgo good food and eat dog food so i can afford trinkets like this.

lets see the reply

Fighting the temptation to email him stating I am an ex factory rider "from the period" and think it's one of my old bikes and just how fantastic it really is. I raced in Europe and also was the test rider for development of the TM100....... ;)

maybe its just me but i tend to resist the temptation to feed these guys, i feel uneasy when i see people taking the piss out of them as i think they are loose cannons already and a bit of a push and who knows what sort of things they may resort to.

in the world of computers and linked databases etc if they were so inclined they could track you down and make your life hell.

only food for thought.
