Title: YZ250/400C Technical Bulletin
Post by: YZ250H on February 22, 2013, 05:12:46 pm
Just reading an old article on the 400C.  It said Yamaha released a technical bulletin on how to set up the air forks.

Would anyone have a copy I could beg / borrow / steal  :-\  Can anyone confirm such a thing exists ?

I've decided to perservere with the air forks (initially anyway ::))

Ive never seen it , but to set them up is easy and once you have set them to your weight and riding style or track (soft or hard ) I think they are great . PM me if you need any help Iain

Thanks Iain.  Your help is always appreciated.

For interest's sake I got the article from this great website :

http://vintageyzinfo.tripod.com/index.htm

Down the bottom on the left.  There is a bit of advice in there but I was interested to learn more.  A Couple of cool old articles from the time on the MX250 as well.

Find an old petrol station and the attendant will pump up your forks for you if you are struggling with the technology of it

Always a pleasure to be of assistance...feel free to ask anytime

Thanks gt96 I knew they where made but had never seen them . copy made and put into my manual . The thing I like most about these forks is they are so easy to change ,
at the start of the day when the track is smooth have them set with a lower "high pressure" and as the track get worse add more air . Iain
