Finally got those Maicoletta forks eh Mick ;D?
It might be flashbacks from last years meds but does the bloke standing next to the Maicoletta in Micks avatar look like suspiciously like Barry Crocker dress up as an SS Nazi officer to anyone else but me? ::)
-
He does look like Barry Crocker a bit Firko.
Still after Maicoletta forks(so you be looking at Barry, until I get them).
It is an early maico tank I got firko. My pre-65er had a aftermarket plastic tank on it.
Although Paul has just scored me a 1957 MD250 Blizzard road frame,. So the tank may eventually end up on that pre-60 Maico project now(one day) ::)

I got your PM.
Very kind of you to offer the help of your Bro, in the UK.
I am truly obliged.
I have also had three offers from members who live in the EU, and all has been taken care of now.
As I said, truly obliged. I am in Newcastle(Australia). Please don't hesitate to ask me for reciprocal help, when the time comes XRH348.
Even Ola-Martin who doesn't live in a EU country was still willing to help if possible,
truly humbled.
Mick.

Mick....my KR250 Maico finally arrived yesterday and currently sits in quarantine. I should have it next week. If I get the 360 motor done in time I may plop it into the KR, fit some half decent tyres and cut a couple of laps on it at Broadford over Easter. Maybe.

That is one cool bit of exotic Maico history Firko. I hope you do all of us a treat and put up a full photo spread of detailed before pictures. Lets face it, doubt there would be another in Oz. Or too many anywhere for that matter. Exciting score.
This is the item I needed help with, it is currently globe trotting.

It was listed as a 1952 M200 tank, owes me AU$254, but will be worth it if the inside is as good as the outside.
It certainly looks right for a 1964 X3 360 and the smaller of the two that were used on the Pre-60 blizzards as well. Anyhow, I guess we will know soon enough if the mounting holes are an exact alignment on both frames. The computer screen images suggest a worhty gamble.

So what's the detail on the one in the photo above? A hardtail scrambler? What year is it?
