Post by: firko on February 08, 2013, 11:00:40 am: Nice bike that one, it doesn't look all out of place like many of these bikes do. I think the swingarm's off a KLX 250 Kawasaki Walter, not a KDX and the rear wheel is XT/TT Yamaha (so's the front).
The framework's really well done, makes the bike much slimmer and presumably lighter.

Post by: firko on February 08, 2013, 11:32:13 am: No, that tank's from an MX250/400 B, the HL uses YZ125 X tanks. The 250/400 tank is getting hard to find however.

I reckon it'd fit into our Evo or with a different swingarm pre 78 or even pre 75 depending on the engine #.

Need to get rid of the flat slide carby as well.

I've got one similar Suzuki Twin project and an out of left field one on the drawing board at the moment but they'll be built for Dirttrack, Flattrack, Shorttrack, Longtrack, Grasstrack or whatever's on.
