so how many sidecar boys are thinking of entering this event its gone quiet lets get the numbers there, track looks good and we should put on a good show :) :) :) :)

I did mention it to the vise president and a few ASA members, didn't make it to the ASA meeting (work commitments !@#$% 16hr shift @##$#) I am not much use at the moment. thanks to Moose the chambers are 99% finished, Trev Otto has supplied some Jets, shizen it will be started soon :o (the Pre68 that is) oh yer a huge thanks to JSC sidecars Scotty your a legend mate.

I have to make a new rear sprocket for the EML and change the passenger bar on the Wasp , then both should be ready . If the weather is not to hot next sunday , we should go out for a practise .
Try Kamar Motorsport in the UK, they sold me a Talon sprocket 'off the shelf' for my EML, I think it was only about AU $60

I have sent an email enquiry to Talon asking what sizes of EML 530 sprockets are available

Straight out of the box and on to the bike

The Chain Gang do ours up here and they make a light-weight version with a star pattern rather than all the holes. A bit dearer than $60 but no freight though.

Just looked back at some old emails from Kay Goodall, the sprocket was £30 and the postage was £20.18 registered.

Be sure to specify 530, because I can't see any different P/N for 520. Looks like all Talon EML sprockets are TR166

everyone keen to see the chairs go around, but the organisers need to see some comittment
for one, we need to know IF we need to get the track licensed (don`t know of any others in NSW)
are we going to have the numbers to run a Championship class or run it at all
if not, the meeting format can be run completely different, favouring the solo Championship classes
entries close 3 weeks prior to the event, the way MNSW work, not enough time to relicence the track
please let us know asap if you guys are entering

why does it have to be licensed differently. ?
arent venue inspection courses Oz wide all the same. ??

track is not currently licensed for sidecars
if not enough entries, we will not license it for sidecars

Lakes are already ready
It is the Sidecars that are not organized which is a pity since I am sponsoring the event and am looking forward to seeing you all in action

Walter if you bring 2 bikes we can get a start.
We might be able to get 1/2 more from up here.
If some one wants to have a ride but doesn't have a bike let us no as we have a couple of spares which lm sure we could bring to the event.

is there anyone willing to come & ride the track prior to the nats
we would love to do a media day & demo at one of our meetings
the experience would be well worth it & great to share to generate more interest
even if we could arrange to leave the sidecar here until the meeting to put on show
I am sure we can come up with some arrangement to assist with or even cover costs

In fact all Spectaculars should be held half way between Qld and you lot from now on.

there is a big push to get the Morgan Mile up and running again with a possible short circuit so 3 disaplins in 1 place Freaky is fired up so please show your support ;) cheers

Spoke to the guys at the QVMX meet yesterday and we will get at least the 6 required from here in Qld and could have as many as 10.
We are a bit short on passengers and or riders to make teams but can sort that out as we go---maybe some locals will want to have a swing?? or a drive????
We have a couple injured and a couple more going OS for some R&R so that's where the problem lies.
Still, we will be able to freight 1/2 doz down for the event.
No camping rule creates a problem too so we'll have to sort that out.

Spoke to Rob this morning and the paper work is in to get the track approved for us, Next Friday is the cut off date for entries, Odd1 is going out there this weekend to make sure everything is ok for the chairs and for a promo ride, I recon it will open some eyes ;D :D

What is the ground like there, what tyre selection would be the go? Is it soft and sticky on top with hard base?

It's VMX John, so as long as the chain stays on and the tyres got air you are 1/2 a chance. :D

Hi Guys at the track at the moment!!!!
It is in an old Quarry so if it drys out it will have some hard patches but walking around this morning it is nice and loamy a little greasy under foot in some spots but it looks great 8) 8)
Tyre choice I think something open for soft ground as I think there will be more loam than hard sections..
EML your gonna kick yourself for missing this track. Right up your ally. Big hills up and down great layout....

Thanks Pop's, I'm sure with a few bikes pushing the soft stuff off will leave a hard slippery base, hmmm will have to think about tyres.

Gearing wise I think the longest straight would be 120mts and there's 2 uphill straights that will be quite fast 80-100 mts long.

AND.....very steep so I hear.....sounds like 52 on the rear.......

Yeah maybe even bigger on the DR, we Had 16/50 on yesterday and was to tall in a couple of off camber tight corners, I recon we could have run a 15 maybe even 14 front, definetly an open tyre for soft ground is the go for me. You would love the track, very European is Danny words...

it was advertised as soon as or before regs were approved & out that entries would close 3 weeks prior to the event to set a format to please the masses.
don`t give us the late entry shit
decision will be made Saturday morning 13/4/13 & will be advised here
we are a club of professional quality
please don`t waste our time
