Title: 2005 yz250 two stroke dirt track tyres

Hi Guys,

I was hoping someone can help me out. I am going to ride my two banger out at Penrith/Nepean Drit Track and I am uncertain about what tyres to put on it. I am a long time motocrosser so this would be a first time outing at Dirt Track. I am reluctant to start relacing wheels to change from standard just yet so she has a 19inch rear and 21inch front as standard.

Any advice appreciated.

Try Western Motorcycles at Penrith since they support the Nepean Dirttrack Series.

I run my modern YZ250 2T at Nepean on a 19" V Rubber rear and think it works well.

You can get them from Penrith MCC President Roy GayYou can email him here [email protected] You should be able to pick up a front tyre from just about any bike shop.

jp84 your gearing may have to drop a couple of teeth in the back ask roy he can help you with set up to
