Title: Wet weekend--what to do?
Post by: EML on January 25, 2013, 10:15:25 am
Looks like Brissy will be wet this week end, just when we need to start getting out and doing some pre season training.
So, what to do??
Just lucky an old mate turned up with a full box of 70's Motocross Action, Dirt Bike, Two Wheels etc...
Might have to spend the whole wet weekend reading through and colating a list of what's what before I list them---on here.
Also got hold of a collection of Mr MX posters-all but the 1st I think and some double ups. Oh and a whole roll of 1984's.
So keep watching........

Anytime you're back in town Brent your most welcome.
Have had a break from it for a while so am just gettin back into it again.
Much prefer outdoors to indoors though.
Gotta be better than watchin grass grow ;D
Although a good magazine sounds like fun too... :)

Not sure if they stooped low enough Jonny :D :D :D
I will be skimming through each mag making a note of month/year and articles.
Some are a little shabby but the info is still in there--others are prestine.
One of the first I came across had a story about Hodaka in Vic Rallycross--on another thread here some days back--1970 ish.
Arrgh..there will be some great stuff in this lot.

No, the saying is "Qld, Sunny one day, pissing rain the next"

I should know.  Like most time we have "weather events" here, I'm currently stuck in our Disaster Management Centre, preparing for the ex TC Oswald to head down the coast and soak us  ::)

Found the 1st 3 Trail and Tracks ever printed!!!
So many old race reports......some bloke named Barry Marshall was reporting even way back then.
Anyway, will post up a list as it comes to hand.
Yes jonnyo there is a report of the very 1st Kawa 250 mx and of the 125 though the pic has become some kids bedroom poster, the full spec sheet is intact.
