Title: Which KX250 uses a dykes top ring?
Post by: John Orchard on January 24, 2013, 06:00:52 pm
Can anyone tell me which model KX250 uses a dykes top piston ring?  I'm thinking maybe '74, I scored a stack of standard bore (70mm) rings to suit a KX250 but the top rings are dykes so I want to source a piston to match the rings.

PM Stan S, he used to have a Kwaka shop in the 70's & beyond. Very good on all bikes for that matter. Road trail MX.

Hey John, is that the type that has an L shaped cross section and comes up to the piston crown? If so the 83 and 84 use that type.
