Anyone using a bing on a GS 440.
if so , could let us know your jetting

Bike is being used for vinduro. I'm having a little issue getting it sorted.

I'm at 4500FT and run a 38MM bing on a 74 440.

If that was the same as mine, I would go bigger on the main. It was running too lean on the 98 we have here in Oz. Plus we are pretty much at sea level.

It is the same as your bike. I would think your pilot would be (at sea level) 40 to 45 main 180 - 185 needle jet 280 run the #5 needle and #2 slide. That's what I ran in the bike at sea level.
I built a 38MM bing yesterday for my bike, I had some new parts body, slide, jets I had all the steel parts cad plated. I hate to but it on the bike now that it looks so good.

Brad.....I wonder what that crazy port job you have in that 74 440 maico does to the jetting at sea level with that octane? I’m going to leave the ports alone on this new bike I’m building. I was tired of holding on to that bike.

After changing to the lower compression head and going up a little on the main, it's been great.
