Can anyone tell me will a 1976 KX 400 motor bolt into a 1976 KX 250 frame ?

Can't be 100% certain but it'd go close Bill. As you probably know, the 250 & 400 used practically the same frame in 75 & 76, but I think the engine mounts are slightly different.

Be warned tho...  whats nice w the 250 engine is much less so w the 400 (& I'm lead to believe that's putting it mildly!

Bill, I just checked the part nos for the rear engine mount & they're diff. If you could pick one up from a KX400 it'd be close to a bolt-in swap

Is there a reason to put the 400 in the 250 frame, the motors are good ,i have a 400 which i keep thinking would be good in a 77 husky roller i have here.
