Hoony, I will take the adler and it will be at the show and shine, I am a bit disappointed that you can`t use a bike to get around, they they have to be registered, being a sporting complex they shouldn`t need to registered.

Klub Kevlar will once again concentrate on the dirt track . I'm intending to bring my Hindall RT2MX flat tracker (the flame job bike). my little Cycle Factory DT1 flat tracker fitted with the trick RT1 piston port motor built for my Cheney motocrosser, just to run it in and jet it for the upcoming motocross meets. If I can get the engine finished I'd like to take my new Maico KR250 oval barrel short tracker, if I don't get to finishing it I'll bring either the Hindall RT2MX (the motocross one) or the Boyd and Stellings TM400. (I may still bring the Maico for display)
Jonesy's bringing his AMA championship winning ATK 605 flat tracker, his Redline framed 850cc Nourish Weslake flat tracker and his ex Troy Butler 1986 Aussie title winning Godden speedway bike fitted with an ex Gary Gugleimi Weslake lower end fitted with a hardly ever seen 2 valve Weslake top end.
Frank Stanborough is bringing his Mojo Matchless pre 65er now fitted with a very trick short stroke motor with Weslake internals. Jonesy (and hopefully I) will ride it. We're also hoping Fast Eddie Phipps can drag himself away from racing hydroplane boats to bring his ex Eddie Lawson Shell Framed OW20 750 Yamaha TT bike and his Champion framed SC500 Yamaha and I hope Yamaico Pete is in the country and can come with his forum budget build 465 Yamaha flat tracker and maybe his daughter Kristy's VMX feature bike green Bultaco Asto. Jake is sure to bring his matching set of G model Yamahas and I'm thinking Husky Pete is coming this year with, Hmmmm? Huskies ;D. I'm really looking forward to it as it'll be the first year in ages I'll actually be well enough to ride the bikes at something above cruise pace......I can't wait ;D.
-
Thats Great Mark, Terrific.
-
I'm thinking I'll bring the SWM 440MX, maybe a Husky or two as well.
K
-
nice one bigk
-
I'm bringing my Jim Pomeroy replica in club registered Frontera mode so I can ride around and look at everything. Also bringing friend Andrew on his aptly described by Dodgy Digger rusty heap of shit XR250. Can't wait. J
-
I will be on a corner on the motocross track for half days Sat & Sun. Should have paint on my 1968 Montesa GP250 cappra by then so hope to give it a test ;D. Terry
-

I've had a bit of a reshuffle and will now be taking the Cheney RT1 motocrosser, Cycle factory flat tracker with its new RT2MX motor and my new Maico KR250 flat tracker to display. I'll also bring my 50cc petrol mountain bike for venue to venue transport. Can't wait.

i'm going, not riding but just to watch all the types of racing bikes and catch with some old road racing mates. i've raced on the Broardford road circuit a few times, and crashed on it a few times too ;D
-
yeah, had my biggie there too, piston exploded full noise in 3rd approaching the esses over the back, spent 8 days in melbourne hospital,lung/ribs /collerbone,still, it's my fav tar track,(seeing nomore amaroo), :P
ps vic historics are the week after, bit tricky??,(if your'e doing both??)
-
Oh Amaroo 8) It did take a big dose of courage to do fast laps consistently. Stop corner was always interesting and often got the old heart ticking way too fast ::) and way too often ;D
Also hitting the tip in point at the top of Bitupave when you tried to pass someone also got the heart relocated into the mouth ;) a bit ;D. If you got it wrong then it stuffed the entry to Dunlop loop !! if you were luck :o
Will not have the Katana rebuilt again for HBBB :-[ :'(
-
i was getting slightly airborne over the humps along the back straight, when i braked into 'crash corner', well i crashed... :D i later found my fork seals had blown and i'd hit the right hand side engine case on the ground as i turned in.
the other time someone tried out braking me in the 2nd last corner, the down hill hairpin near the pit entrance, the guy lost the front and took me with him. :-\
both times i've been ok and able to drive home, although i think i cracked a couple of ribs in the first crash, i hit the ground pretty hard.
although i did end up with a plated collar bone* after a big highside exiting the southern loop at Phillip Island once ;D
*i still wear that plate with pride ;)
-
Whats the Go with ride time on the Dirt Track?? looks like you get 2 or 3 laps , how long before next ride???, Have been to all the HBBB and never rode,to much to look at.
-
just keep lining up and they will keep sending you out till your knackerd
-
If camping gets a bit tight at the track then don't fret because there is heaps of room to camp at the side of the Hume :o :o

The Broadford Servo has just reopened so getting fuel here is now an option again.
The last 2 owners decided they coulnd't compete with the large corporations on the highway and closed down.
Now we have a young couple who have refurbished the place and are trying to make a good go of it.

Look forward to catching up Rosco, will you be at the normal Geelong camp area? If so will that bloke that ate Gary Adams be with you?
Regards Stan.
-
Yep Satn camped in usual speedway near Bay 13 Geelong Delinquents Area.
Im sure PATCH Adams will be in Fine Form
-
Bumper, bit slow on the uptake from my end but your KX250 Dirt Tracker from a page or two ago is a nice looking bit of gear. Have always had a bit of a soft spot for early model air cooled KX's. Am surprised that none of the Kawasaki geeks have honed in on this one. Any chance you can tell us a bit of the history/build/resto etc.
-
If my Lanz Bulldog is ready for pick -up that weekend , I might put -put in for a blast .
Walter, the one I told you about? If it is I will go for a drive and see if it is still there.
Stan.

Sorry to disappoint you Scooter boy but my klapasaki is all clapped out and I’m too frightened to start it up again until I fit a new piston and rod kit. :(
Dangerous Dave has offered me a ride on one of his bikes, just not sure which one I should borrow though as they have all pummeled him into the ground at some stage.
Hopefully he will be out of surgery by Easter so he can attend.
-
Hope you boys put on a good show as I am coming to have a look (no bikes just a rent a car).

Can you bring my pink roost protector as well please John. :)
-
Much rain Geoff? J
Not that much to speak of.
It rained a bit overnight and early this morning but it hasn’t rained here all day.
Just got back from Melb. where it was pissing down.
I reckon there was just enough rain here to make the track just right.
-
I'll be there Sunday. Looking forward to it.

I was only saying to Jodie this arvo that we should take it out with us :-)

Bugger......We've had to can our HBBB trip. My mate Jonesy has a fairly serious health problem that is causing extreme fatigue so he called me early this morning to tell me that as much as he was looking forward to it, he's too crook to go. It's unfortunate as I was really looking forward to cutting laps on my new 360 Yamaha flat tracker and AJ's ATK dirt tracker but as his health concerns override everything, canning the trip was the only decent thing to do. Ironically we cancelled out last year due to my own health problems. Sometimes thing just aren't meant to happen ::).

500 bikes entered and still people pouring in the front gate at 3pm Vic time.
