Bought a bike stand on ebay for $85, and it comes with a free fork saver. (FREE POSTAGE)

Then when I received it they gave me a 15% discount code so I ordered another one, this time only $72.

What about this for your next wheel rebuild job :)

Is the wheel rebuild tool easy to use. I have 4 wheels to do & no experience.
I would still have to get the spokes & rims refurbished or replaced with new ones, so is it saving money on the builds?
Wheels are obviously a component you don't want to get wrong, but I would like to be more hands on in my resto's rather than feel like the purchasing officer on a cheque book job.

Bugger, wish I had know that before. Surely they cant be making anything on them at that price. $30 FFS
I guess given that I got a fork saver, which i needed, plus postage, ... but it still shits on the KANEG deal :-\

Stop torturing yourself Adam ;D

Reading on their site, Torpedo7 is based in NZ. I wonder what the postage is? You have to set up an account to get to that stage in checkout. Anyone done this?
-
Torpedo7 is based in Hamilton NZ but I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a warehouse in australia that they ship from.
Have bought from them over here before & you don't need to set an account up although you can to speed up future purchases

They only let you buy 1 stand at a time :o :o Thanks for the lead....a few items are winging their way to my garage. Hope the quality does not match the price ;D

In 2006, we skipped across the Tasman and opened an Australian Torpedo7 website

Lol , I hate it when that happens, you buy something and then find it cheaper.
I wanted to buy a couple of the heavy duty stands, but yea, you can only buy one per order and they dont take paypal :(

Peter Stevens had the same ones for $49 on sale just before christmas after found them after I had payed $69 up the road at mototech thought then it was a good price but $30 how can they make them and sell them at a profit for that much.
-
Either very low cost from supplier or else a sales promotion to attract people to the website hoping they will also buy other more profitable items. Thats what happened to me ::) Taking a modest loss on some items is not unusual for retailers.

Torpedo7 always has great bargains those stands have been 30 for about 6 months, ties downs with fork thing for 20 too. I am waiting for Michelin S12's to go on sale again for 60 bucks delivered, got a few at that price last year.
