no, its the old Lakes Entrance Track (favourite of many an 80's MX rider) turn 3 into the gully.

PMSL !!!  Just had the biggest laugh at that ad ... thanks KB171 ....    :D :D

Hey I raced an XR500 for 20 bloody minutes during the Heaven GP in November!!   (thanks Justin.... I know youre lurking out there..... :P )

I remember you racing that bike, a Wonthaggi meeting is vivid in my mind.
I couldn't believe it got around so well. thankfully i was not in your race.

Sometimes I forget that I own one of these. The poor little thing got the piss rode out of it at Castella and then just shoved uncermoniniously into the far corner of the shed and forgotten. :'( 
I should love it a little more. It's a bit like the girl you'd go and visit whenever you'd been on the piss all night. Good fun but you wouldn't been seen dead with her by your mates.

Don't know about putting one on an mx track though Hoony. Especially when I look at my other '84 model the YZ 250 L...... ;)

Yours is a lot neater than the one for sale. I'll give you 12k for it Ross if you can prove it is also a factory racer. Looks the same to me.

Mine definatly came out of the Honda factory (unlike that one that looks like a knock-out copy)
You can have mine for eight Graeme and I'll throw in some genuine Works tyre valves, free of charge. :)

I raced a factory XR.
They would get so hot the oil would turn to treacle.  I DNFd the 85 4day 20min to the finish because of it >:(.  When I think back on it they were a shtbox.
