Have just put a motor back together but when I got to the head gasket it looked like it can go on in a number of ways but I settled with the 2 slots over the exhaust is this correct?

I think it has a tab from memory on the outside. I'm also thinking I put that to the back where it matches up with the barrel casting. I think???

i think i put the 2 slots at the front as well !

This Gasket had 2 tabs  1 at the 1 o clock position and 1 at the 6 o clock position.
