Title: Gasket paper

 Does anyone know where I can buy good gasket paper, like the stuff that Honda use?

Only Kellogs Corn Flakes no other cereal will do?

Bearing shops sell it in different thickness

Although I am also partial to the corn flakes packets  :)

sorry to be flippant :D
I had to pull my DR350 down to fix the g/box and had no gasket so just gooed it up!! Still wouldn't shift well so had to put the correct Suzuki gasket in to get the tolerances right. Never had that in my day.  :P

I would never split a case without proper gasket for that reason. ( learnt the hard way)
I did it on a vee drive for a ski boat a wreaked the gears!!

I bought a roll at Repco. They had different thicknesses available too.

Thanks all for your input. What I'm after is really good paper that doesn't compress excessively like the repco/etc paper .

if its a centre case gasket get the right gasket,if its a intake manifold gasket the cornflake box will do and if its got oil galleries like a xr200 clutch cover no silicon coz that shite will block up the galleries and stuff up a good head and cam

I buy all my gasket paper CBC Bearings at our local branch if they dont have the size they will get it any thickness you want even have exhaust gasket material. not to mention bearings and seals.

I was told many years ago that Honda use an oddball gasket thickness and the aftermarket stuff does not match it.

Would be interesting to find if it's actually true
