Rear disk drum front? My only guess would be to help the back end squat over the stutters ?

Bob took the front disc off, he preferred the drum at that time. The other factory Honda riders used the front disc.
This is 1983 and Hannah was the quickest guy around using that setup..

correct , he used the DLS drum becuase he said it had better feel.

I saw that bike and a Ribi forked version and a dozen others at US Honda's Race HQ during a guided tour in Oct 1984,
I took heaps of photos, just can't find them, wish we had digital back then
