There's no disputing the ticker required to race those sidecars Ian,  especially from the monkey, but I was more commenting on the speed and undulation of that track.

Slides the idea of two or three wheels out there is beyond my skill set , way to many changes of underwear for me .

Be interesting to see if they race chairs on that track, at first I thought you meant trikes, they'd be awesome to watch as well.

So many unused country horse race tracks ...so much f...ing RED TAPE.  Been trying for nine years to organize an all eras grasstrack meeting around the old horsey race curcuit in Rochester Victoria. Just a bloody nightmare.

That is crazy! Getting air then throwing it sideways, flatout with top class safety  barriers in place ::),.....FANTASTIC. This joint is rooted by all the bloody do-gooders.
Keep at it Timbo. Also having the pushies there,...great way to get more spectators.
That was great, I'm going to watch it again.   cheers    Mark

I wonder if that is a purpose built track for bikes or some type of cross country horsey track.
It must be some sort of racing complex because I noticed what looks like a Speedway track in the background somewhere in the footage.

Looks too smooth for a horse track, my guess is purpose built.

Is the track in germany or elsewhere?

All we need is a wealthy benifactor who loves motorcycles to donate a parcel of land, simple :-\.
Biggest problem would be that you'd only get 2 or 3 meetings in a year otherwise it'd become a Dirttrack.
I noticed that as the guy with the on board cam was making his way through the pit area to the track there was an MX bike getting ready to roll, they'd be great to watch as well.
Some of the longtrackers looked to have beefier front forks but only a 2 speed longtrack box, once in top thats where it stays.

I think it's normally a horse track where they do stepple chasing and jumps racing.  And yes they also do mx classes on there

Been to a couple of these with Wiggy, he was pretty good at this place but there is another in Southern France he was almost unbeatable, you arent seeing the wheelies they do absolutely unreal, they also have one that is a triangle with one right hander but jumps on the other two sides. Steve you need to get out more and go to some

After looking through the Utube Grasstrack videos at Teterow etc I went looking for this photo

Manfred Poschenreider was a top Grasstracker and Longtracker of his day, right behind him in this shot is gun English rider Lew Coffin, there almost seems to have been some needle, just under the surface, in Anglo / German clashes  on the track. Is that a bullseye or an RAF roundel on Lew's helmet ??

The 2007 ?? World Longtrack final was held in Unzud, New Plymouth on a  1000 metre track , Crumpy the younger rode and won the B final. The A final and the World Title, were gunna be decided between Gerd Riss and Kelvin Tatum, bloody hell, what a race !! No quarter asked and none given, there were four other riders in that race but they may as well have been on another planet !. I still watch the video of it from time to time.
