Got my yz going today :) so cool!!!!
The intake while not leaking it is cracked a bit.
Question is can you fit a vforce reed block on a old yz 125d
Is there a interchangeable model?
Anyone tried it??

I have no idea, considering i have an E, i am interested to see the answeres, Also to expand on the question - What would the benefits be, would this enable you to change the inlet port timing..

The reed does the timing not the port

The Piston and the port does the timing, the reed allows excessive ports to continue to operate efficiently.
Back in 1975, I put a GEM Reed Kit into a green tank 125 Elsinore that was ported beyond belief with a 36mm carb, Yes it was fast, No I couldn't ride it.

If this were remotely correct a case inducted reed engine would never work. Cylinder reed engines inlet ports are continuously open. Reed petal is open in accordance with engine demand, opens and closes later with increasing rpm.
AFAIK all the CR125(same as RS/NSR) bolt pattern is the same except for 2 years when they went to a 5 sp (03-04???)

Remotely correct it is , the reed is only preventing induction blow back allowing transfer to continue
Substitute a rotary valve for the reed and think about it,
just a basic pump not chicken and egg stuff,
file a few miilimetres off the top of a piston,
what happpens? nothing to do with the reeds??

YZ80 or 85 but I can't remember which year.
What I did was measure the intake port, width & hieght & bolt hole centres & they sent me one that fitted.

I don't need to think about anything, the reed is open when the piston is rising the transfers are not open and certainly to "flowing"
