It looks like a PVL but for a couple of differences like using Torx bolts instead of normal allen heads. You'd have thought he's show the whole instruction manual and state the maker. He wants you to think it's a PVL. Still for $200 its worth finding out.

Not sure if it's a PVL ignition, should fit as this seller seems to sell quite a few cz parts.
I wouldn't fit it to your 380 due to it being an internal rotor type which will lead to wheelspin

its definately a pvl as it is stamped pvl on the parts, i already bought it as $200 was too hard to pass on, penton website doesn't list it though for a cz that's why i was inquiring

not sure if this is relevant, but for the yamahas they are all the same except you use differant spacers ( there are 2 verison) that lift the stator plate into align with the rotor.  All PVL analouge use the same black bock and ign. so the only thing that changes is the rotor or more so its taper. basical if it fits under the cover and you can find or cut the right taper PVl will fit anything even twin sparks.

On all my five race CZ  run with the small button internal rotor Motoplat setup

The PVL that you brought with the seal in the stator plate look like a twinpipe model maybe

The Photo show the stator mounts inside out  which was rare on the old MX bikes

They made a rare DKW twin  race ignition  for me last year

Looks like a CZ unit is now listed for the MX models

would recommend electrexworld ignitions ;) ;), run on my red frame 400 and 400 falta simple to fit either twin plug (stk 952) or single plug (stk 950) ignitions.
you will need to purchase the electrexworld puller for these ignitions, as the thread is different on the cz flywheel.
best service out of the uk parts sent by courier.

Thumbs up for Electrix from UK, price was well below others, turned up in 5 day from UK, was supplied with the puller, very nicely made, directions were clear and spot on, the old 450 Husky started first kick and is surprisingly easy to start -- it seems the electronic box retards the ignition at starting revs so less chance of nasty 450 kickback/liftoff  ::)

Maurice,

Do you have a result as yet with this ignition.  I have a 1973 250 that is going back together now and will need an ignition system. Thinking of going to Les at VMX Unlimited.

I could never get a definite answer from anyone. Every supplier I contacted either said it wasn't theirs or didn't bother responding.
The guy I bought it from on ebay says it is a cz ignition but I never even tried fitting it as I have  380 and sounds like it is different between 250/380.
Long story short it got thrown in a corner on the bench until i decide what to do with it.

Filed a complaint with ebay and they sided with me so I sent it back to the seller and got a refund, seller kept saying he would trade for other parts or get me another ignition but he never followed through on his promises
