how do you resto guys get the metal trim on the motor as opposed to the painted finish - "dremel" and sandpaper, lots of hours sanding back/polishing?

Will be ridden in a few vinduros ...so owner decided on fitting barkbusters ....
( to bust some bark ::) clever boy...Shoey ;D)
Has a small bash plate fitted as well, for some added case protection.
All easily removable, should he decide to do any MX events.

I noticed the little bash plate.
Is that alloy and painted or plastic?
Should be a fun mount or Vinduros. :D
I remember riding my KX500 at a few enduros in the 80's..... damn hard work...... ;)
