Title: Wanted 1950s 60s jap speedway bike or motor?

I'm looking for a J A Prestwich speedway motor with a rotary frame? Or does anyone have any blueprints for the frame as I will make the frame? Anyone thee info on jap speedway bikes would be appreciated cheers brad

i think what you are looking for is a rotrax jap from around 1955 ect
hope you bank bal is good
old speedway japs pull twice as much as jawas these days

Contact the Veteran Speedway Riders, they even sell the Rotrax JAP Tshirts or they did about 5 years ago

Brad, as far as a JAP engine goes,all I can say is " Join the queue !!", I'm tracking down a 4B myself for my Hagon. The JAP engine Facebook page is a good read sometimes and  I'll see if I can find the photo of my old Cole engined Rotrax copy, built by Paul Sly, and post it here, the pic is  already on the forum somewhere.

Thanx mate, my grandad used to be the team mechanic for the coventry bees in england and was around speedway! this is why im very interested in the old JAPS! he cant believe how expensive they are now when back then you could of bought a brand new one for 100 pounds haha! He has said there should be some old JAPS in aus as the australian riders used to have to catch a 6 week ship to get to england for the speedway season!

Nah he still lives in England unfortunately
