Title: Preston Petty No-Dive cheap on vft.org
Post by: firko on November 17, 2012, 09:36:33 am
I recently saw a No-Dive going for $500 on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Preston-Petty-No-Dive-Suzuki-KTM-Elsinore-Yamaha-Maico-Vintage-Motocross-/271100644180?hash=item3f1edb8b54&item=271100644180&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Preston-Petty-No-Dive-Suzuki-KTM-Elsinore-Yamaha-Maico-Vintage-Motocross-/271100644180?hash=item3f1edb8b54&item=271100644180&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr)). If you want one of these you'll have to ring him but for $20 plus the cost of the call you're still getting out of it cheap. I don't really think he knows what he's got.

Having had one fitted to my YZ125F back in the day .. I concur with Hoony ... he's got it in one.  More valuable as scrap.

Got one on my 78 RM125C and I reckon it works pretty good. Althogh I would add that fitting PD valves and decent progressive rate springs would see it being rather useless/pointless.
